Hi, I’m Arjun Menon
I started Passive Book because I lived the problem myself.
I grew up in Kerala, India, where the path was simple: get an engineering degree, get a good job, work hard. So that’s what I did. I studied Computer Science, landed data science jobs, and climbed the corporate ladder.
But something felt wrong. I was building someone else’s dream, not my own. I worked late nights until 11 PM on video calls. I watched talented coworkers get laid off after years of hard work. That’s when it hit me: job security is fake. I needed to build something no one could take away.
So I started building on the side. Not a startup that needed investors and a big team. I built simple online businesses with a whole lot of trial and error. What started as weekend projects slowly grew into real money.
When I turned 27, I made the jump. I went full-time on my business. Today, I run online businesses from wherever I want sometimes Chennai where I currently live, sometimes other countries. I have the freedom to work on my own schedule and spend time with my family.
