My name is Abhishek. I am a data scientist by day and an online entrepreneur by night. I live in Chennai, India, and work for PayPal.
I have always known that building a business was my calling. However, the society I grew up in taught me to be risk-averse. So I got a degree and a job like everyone else.
But I could never give up on my entrepreneurial dreams. I was a broke college student when I first looked for ways to make passive income online. My goal was to build a business that is 100% online which required a minimum investment of both time and money.
With over ten years of learning and applying what I learned behind me, I have come a really long way.
What can Passive Book do for you?
Passive Book was born during the COVID-19 pandemic. Many of my friends lost their jobs and were in desperate need of money. I thought if only they knew what I did they would not be so dependent on their day jobs. I created this website to help as many people as I can build an online business so that they never have to worry about money.
It is not very easy to do it yourself. Without guidance, it is supposed to take 10,000 hours to master any skill. I had to put in my 10,000 hours which has been a mix of learning and applying what I learned.
Passive Book is the end result of all that research, testing, success, and failures.

Can I do this with a day job?
Having a day job will never be a barrier to taking action on the things you learn in Passive Book. In fact, a small investment is necessary to build your website and a day job can be helpful to make that investment.
I started my first online business when I was a broke college student and I did freelance writing jobs to secure money for my website hosting.
Now I work full-time as a data scientist in PayPal and have always been employed since I left college. My friends ask me why I haven’t quit my day job even after being so successful online. My day job helps me socialize, meet and make new friends along with providing me with a platform to use my specialized knowledge in data science and analytics. At the end of the day, it’s another income stream and I will take as many as I can get.
What is the Business Model?
Passive book will primarily focus on information marketing (making money teaching people what you know in the form of blogs, videos, books, and courses) and affiliate marketing (earning commissions recommending other people’s products). Ecommerce (selling physical products) and providing marketing services will be a secondary focus.
Information marketing and affiliate marketing is the most passive because you do the work once and you keep getting paid forever. Ecommerce and services are semi-passive and require building systems and outsourcing the work.
How long will it take to see results?
Building an online business from start to finish takes time and effort. It can take anywhere from 18 to 36+ months depending on how fast you take action. Your unique situation and work ethic can make it longer or shorter. Remember that this is not an overnight process or a get-rich-quick scheme. You need to start digging your well now before you’re thirsty.
